Launched in 1977 amidst the punk rock explosion, Crazy Color stood for freedom and self expression in a new wave of style and fashion experimentation. Values the brand holds on to today.

Crazy Color already had a well established, recognisable brand, which had recently been updated. They approached us to work with them to enhance their brand expression across multiple platforms. A full range of retail packaging. A new website, aimed directly at their professional customers, and the conceptual Art Direction for a range of promotional CGI assets expressing not only the product but the ideas intrinsic to the organisation.

Packaging

The packaging had to function in a competitive shelf environment where swift impact was key but it also had to express product information fast and at distance. 

Multiple pack types allowed for differing levels of brand visibility but had to feel unified and collectively represent the brand.

CGI Art Direction

This collection of CGI images had to work in a number of ways. It was important to represent the packs themselves in a realistic form and also the product within.

In other cases the images are more about creating an imaginative concept of colour, something very much at the heart of the brand.
